From Scratch to Solid: A Reusable Framework for PCF Components

18th Oct 12:00pm - 12:40pm BST Innovate 2 (1st Floor)
60 attended
Session Description

In this session, I’ll share how I build PCF controls using a solid, reusable framework that brings structure and consistency to every project. Coming from a C# background, I’ve built this approach to overcome the challenges of JavaScript’s loose dependency ecosystem - bringing in tools like Fluent UI for clean, accessible design and MobX for elegant state management.

I’ll also show how output properties let your control do more than just render - they enable rich interaction with the rest of the form, unlocking all sorts of possibilities for dynamic, responsive behavior. We’ll finish by looking at how to package everything cleanly using the Power Platform CLI (PAC), making deployment smooth and repeatable.

If you’re ready to level up your PCF development and build controls that are both powerful and maintainable, this session is for you.
