Statewide Septage Capacity Assessment

17th Mar 11:10am - 12:00pm MDT Elderberry-Wastewater

Session Description

Proper septage management is vital to preventing system failures, sewage spills, and pollution emissions into the environment. If not managed correctly, these systems can contaminate groundwater, harm wildlife, and threaten public health. While septic systems are most common in rural areas, they are used across the state in areas where sanitary sewer collection systems are not available. As the population increases, the amount of wastewater also increases, further straining the state’s ability to manage it properly.
