Session Description

The purpose of the paper on PFAS treatment system design is to provide a comprehensive review and evaluation of current and emerging treatment technologies for PFAS removal and destruction. It aims to guide the design of  effective, scalable treatment systems that can reliably meet regulatory standards, optimize operational performance and cost, and address site-specific water quality challenges. The paper seeks to advance understanding of treatment train integration, pilot testing approaches, and technology selection criteria to support sustainable and regulatory-compliant PFAS mitigation strategies in water supply and industrial contexts.
