Session Description

Asset Management is the practice of managing infrastructure and capital assets that allows systems to run efficiently and at the lowest possible cost while still offering the level of service required. It is an approach to managing a water system that facilitates optimal operations and maintenance using a systems approach. In this course we will introduce you to the 5 core criteria of the asset management approach enabling you to apply proactive rather than reactive strategies to your water system allowing you to build financial stability for your facility. Participants will come away from this course: With an understanding of what the Asset Management approach is and how to implement it in their system. Tools and resources that will allow systems to create their asset management plan and determine the financial future of their system. Participants are encouraged to bring their computers to begin accessing tools and resources provided during the presentation.
