For attendees located in the European Economic Area (EEA), personal data is processed on the following bases:

4. Networking App & Profile Visibility
The Cavell Summit North America Networking App is powered by a third-party platform provider (Just Attend). By using the Networking App, you acknowledge that:

  • Your profile information may be processed by the platform provider for the purpose of delivering networking functionality
  • The platform provider acts as a data processor on behalf of Cavell and is contractually bound to process your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws
  • You can manage your profile visibility, personal details, and communication preferences directly within the app

Cavell ensures that all platform providers used in connection with the Event implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data.

Default Visibility
Your basic professional profile (e.g., name, company, job title) may be visible to other registered attendees in the app to facilitate networking.

Your Control
You will have the ability to:

  • Edit or limit the information shown on your profile
  • Choose whether to make your profile visible to others
  • Control what personal information you share in your profile

Direct Contact Between Attendees

  • Attendees may connect or message each other within the app
  • Sharing of additional contact details (such as email or phone number) is always user-controlled and voluntary

5. Sharing of Personal Data
We may share limited personal data with trusted third parties for event delivery, including:

  • Event technology and Networking App providers
  • Venue and logistics partners
  • Operational service providers

Optional Contact Sharing with Sponsors & Partners (Opt-In Only)
Your personal contact information will only be shared with event sponsors and partners if you explicitly opt in during registration. If you opt in:Information shared may include:

  • Name
  • Company
  • Job title
  • Email address
  • Any other professional information you have chosen to provide

This information will be shared only after the Event, in the form of a curated post-event attendee contact list. Sponsors will not have access to your contact details during the Event or through the Networking App unless you choose to share them directly within the platform.

If you do not opt in, your personal data will not be included in any post-event contact list or shared with sponsors or partners for marketing purposes.

You may withdraw your consent at any time prior to the distribution of post-event materials.

6. International Data Transfers
As the Event is hosted in the United States, your personal data may be transferred outside your country or region, including outside the EEA. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
  • Use of reputable providers with appropriate data protection controls
