5th May 1:00pm - 2:00pm MDT Telluride A

Session Description

In this session we dive into the world of Voice AI and Microsoft Power Automate with focus on how you can leverage AI with Power Automate to streamline your Teams Phone and Teams collaboration workflows. We will host a "workshop session" where we show how to build workflows to connect your Teams environment to other systems.

We will dive into a handful of complex Voice AI pre-call triage and post-call Power Automate flows to showcase the depth and near limitless possibilities. We will touch on CRM, SMS, ITSM integrations, Teams Calling Extensibility, 3rd Party Software/Hardware integrations, and even AI tooling for creating even more powerful and efficient workflows that bridge your call flows with your business process workflows.

But we won’t stop there! We will then show how you can lean into Teams “Tabs for Calling” to pull your workflow right into live calls to elevate your automation into tangible, real-time tools to bridge the gap between call flow and workflow!

This multi-part session is designed to take you from concept to execution

  • Part 1: Foundations of Flow
We’ll break down what Power Automate is, why it matters, and how businesses of all sizes can leverage it to streamline processes and workflows. You’ll learn when to use the free version versus the premium version, and how to integrate with tools like Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Azure Cognitive Services, and even external platforms like SMS gateways and CRMs. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves for a "workshop session" of building a Power Automate flow from scratch.

  • Part 2: Real-World Voice AI Automation in Action
In this part of the session, we will show you more complex Voice AI and Power Automate flows with 2–3 workflows that solve real business challenges. These examples will show flows that have multiple integration points that range from CRMs to SMS Gateways, to Compliance call recording to Azure Cognitive Services.

You'll see how a well made Voice AI agent can solve customer calls before they get to a human agent. How you can keep track and measure your Voice AI agent success and compliance, and how you can evolve your AI Agent constantly to improve your customer service beyond voice and into other support channels. This isn't a product sell, this is a demo made from scratch just for Comms vNext to show you what you can do with a little time and effort and its fits nicely on top of any phone system including Teams.

  • Part 3: Extending your Workflow into your Call Flow
What if you could extend your automation workflows into live, in-call, dialogues to ensure your work and tools stay in front of you even while you are actively communicating in real time? In this part of the session, we will show how you can create Teams Apps to extend your tools and automation flows into “Tabs for Calling”. You will not want to miss this part of the demo! This will change how you look at Teams Calling.

Whether you're in IT, operations, sales, or customer engagement, this session will spark ideas and equip you with practical skills to build smarter, more responsive workflows.
