Session Description

To educate Managers, Public Works Directors, and operators on the critical importance of disaster preparedness, including effective planning, access to readily available resources, and strategies that enhance organizational resilience. Measurable Learning Outcomes By the end of this session, participants will be able to: 

• Identify the key risks and vulnerabilities associated with natural disasters in their communities. 

• Develop a understanding of disaster preparedness planning tailored to their organization’s infrastructure and resources. 

• Evaluate the availability and adequacy of emergency resources and establish protocols for rapid deployment. 

• Explain how proactive preparedness measures contribute to operational resilience and continuity of essential services. 

• Apply best practices for coordinating with local agencies and stakeholders during disaster response and recovery efforts.
