Mr. Dave Diss serves as the Water Quality Action Specialist for the Colorado Rural Water Association and brings over 47 years of expertise in water, wastewater, and industrial wastewater disciplines. His career includes extensive hands-on experience as an operator, complemented by 33 years of training operators and 15 years overseeing infrastructure construction projects to ensure compliance with engineering specifications. Mr. Diss holds multiple professional certifications and has authored numerous articles and technical reports covering water quality, laboratory procedures, wastewater treatment processes, microbiology, environmental permitting and compliance with different types of environmental permits. Throughout his career, he has guided countless operators in mastering water treatment, distribution systems, wastewater treatment, collection systems, and industrial wastewater processes, helping them successfully prepare for and achieve different levels of operator certifications.
