Abstract for 2026 State Rural Water Conferences

Session Title:  Act NOW to Claim your Share of $15.4 Billion in PFAS Funds – TIME SENSITIVE

Background: In 2018, National Rural Water Engaged the Law Firm of Napoli Shkolnik to file a lawsuit against the global manufacturers of PFAS chemicals.  This effort has resulted, thus far, in settlements totaling $15.5 Billion Dollars for water utilities with detections of PFAS chemicals at any level. Time is running out for systems to access these funds.

Presentation: This presentation is designed to provide water and wastewater utilities all of the information and how to access their fair share of the current $15.4 billion dollars.  The session will also provide information on a continuing revenue stream with  12 additional companies expected to settle in 2026. 

This session will provide attendees with the process to access these settlement funds and participate, at no cost, in additional Polluter Pay litigation to lessen the financial burden on their rate payers.
