Session Description

With the explosion of Microsoft Teams users worldwide, the Microsoft 365 and Teams platforms have become prime targets for threat actors looking to steal data, phish end users, and infiltrate company systems for financial gain. This session will explore how to use existing policies and settings to protect against phishing and malware threats, prevent unauthorized access from external and anonymous users, as well as identity security risks from 3rd party apps within Microsoft Teams.  Along with Teams policies and settings, there are a variety of other Microsoft 365 tools that can be leveraged to improve your Microsoft Teams security posture. This session will review these tools and how they can be configured to best fit your organization's needs.

This session will also walk through the recent release of the Microsoft 365 Secure Configuration Baseline by CISA (Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency) with a specific focus on the Microsoft Teams recommended configuration.

Walk away from this session with some real-world guidance on how to protect your Microsoft Teams environment against the latest threats.
