I’m Saman Thiara, a sophomore at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying Business Administration with a focus on Finance and Real Estate. As a first-generation college student from Broomfield, Colorado, I’m passionate about understanding financial markets and real estate investment strategies to create long-term value.

Beyond academics, I’m actively involved in leadership and mentorship programs, including the Leeds Peer2Peer Mentorship Program, where I help first-year students with career development and professional growth. I’m also part of Scholars of Finance, where I’ve strengthened my skills in ethical leadership, financial stewardship, and decision-making. Additionally, I serve as a board member on CU Boulder’s Student Allocations Organization Committee, overseeing strategic budget decisions to support student initiatives.

My professional experiences range from conducting market research on AI-driven mental health solutions to working in customer-facing roles that have honed my communication and problem-solving skills. These opportunities have shaped my passion for finance and real estate, as well as my ability to analyze market trends and collaborate effectively.

Outside of school and work, I love playing pickleball and hiking Colorado’s trails. I’m excited to connect with professionals and peers at the Leeds Professionalism Summit, gaining insights that will help me grow in my career.
