About Me - Business Seminar Application

My name is Jonathan Amann, and I am a dedicated finance and accounting student at the University of Colorado Boulder – Leeds School of Business, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting along with a Certificate in Operations and Information Management. I have maintained a 3.745 GPA while engaging in coursework that deepens my understanding of financial management, business analytics, and operational efficiency.

Beyond academics, I have gained hands-on business experience through my roles at Grand Rapids Foam Technology, where I worked on projects ranging from mechanical engineering and quality assurance to operational analysis and financial reporting. I have been tasked with restructuring business processes, optimizing workflow using software such as Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP systems, and presenting data-driven solutions to leadership teams. These experiences have strengthened my ability to analyze financial and operational data and make strategic recommendations that improve efficiency and profitability.

Additionally, I have expanded my leadership and coaching skills through my role as a WinAlpine ski coach, where I developed the ability to mentor, manage, and guide young athletes while fostering teamwork and performance improvement. My passion for financial markets extends to cryptocurrency trading, where I have explored the evolving intersection of blockchain and finance, gaining a broader perspective on emerging financial technologies.
