Session Description
Whether you are working on a project with colleagues, talking with customers, planning next year’s budget, or attending an important marketing meeting, Teams meetings have become an essential tool that we use almost automatically. But let’s not forget the risks: data oversharing to the wrong audience, unmanaged recordings and transcripts, external access gaps, and AI tools (for example, third-party AI bots) that can expose sensitive data.
This session is a practical guide to securing your Teams meetings. I will map real meeting scenarios to the Teams security architecture: identity, access controls, information protection, and meeting policies. I will also cover risks introduced by unsanctioned AI platforms and tools.
Session plan:
- Secure by default: how to create a security baseline for meetings, that will keep data safe and preserve collaboration features.
- Top Secret: how to prepare to host meetings with highly sensitive information.
- Managing AI-related risk: mitigating shadow third-party AI tools and reducing data leaks.
