Biography
From his parents buying a Sinclair ZX Spectrum in the early 80's, Tristan has had a keen interest in IT from an early age, so it was almost inevitable he ended up in the industry.
Finally giving in after a brief dalliance with programming in C, Tristan found his calling within operations, firstly supporting Windows desktops connecting to an OpenVMS network, through to Windows NT. Deciding to specialize initially in Exchange server, he was then called upon to learn all about Office Communications Server and the rest is history. Working in professional services adds complexity and challenges, but all things Tristan enjoys the most - working across geographies with different regulations and cultures allows the products he works in bridge gaps across the world.
As a Teams product manager in one of the Big 4, Tristan has to understand the needs and demands of a complex business and ensure the product supports these needs in the most efficient way possible, working closely with vendors and customers around the world.
