With a career spanning over twenty-five years building products, I currently lead the engineering efforts for Microsoft Teams, focusing on enriching the platform with advanced calling, meeting, and device capabilities. My leadership is instrumental in leveraging AI to redefine the paradigms of learning, working, and collaborating in a dynamic, post-pandemic world. 

Central to my approach is a steadfast commitment to customer success, ensuring that our innovations not only solve present challenges but also set the stage for future advancements. This customer-first mindset empowers my team to pioneer solutions that lead the industry in unified communications, encompassing enterprise voice, call centers, voice automation, and more. 

My latest passion revolves around the transformative potential of generative AI in reimagining collaboration. I am deeply involved in exploring how this technology can be leveraged to create more intelligent, adaptable, and personalized user experiences, marking a new era of digital interaction that anticipates and meets the evolving needs of our users.

As a passionate developer, I take pride in directly contributing to Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft products. This not only keeps me at the forefront of technology but also ensures I remain deeply connected with the developer community. Let me share a little bit of info about myself. I was born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico. This is a small coffee town in the mountains of the island of Puerto Rico. I have three kids, Sebastian, Sergio, and Sarah. Sebastian followed my path and works as a developer in a startup. Sergio is going to UF. His passions are genetics and medicine. And Sarah is in High School, she loves to play volleyball. I love to cook, I play the sax and a bit of accordion, love to run, and if given the opportunity, love to sit in front of the ocean on a beach chair, disconnect my brain and enjoy the sea breeze.
