Biography

As the Director of Products and Innovation at Continuant, Joel oversees the development of the Continuant Connect portfolio of products. This includes Microsoft Teams Operator Connect and Direct Routing-as-a-Service solutions. He has a history in Microsoft UC going back to the 2008 OCS days and has maintained a focus on calling and meeting solutions with various integrations at enterprise and global scale.

Today, Joel focuses his efforts largely on two verticals: healthcare and higher education. He is driven to ensure organizations in both industries transition to communications solutions and related applications that take advantage of cloud technologies to increase revenue and decrease operational costs.

Joel was raised and resides in Houston, Texas. He has a successful past a musician including an earned doctorate from the University of Miami.
