Bob Calley
Biography
Bob Calley is the District Superintendent and Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for Genesee Water and Sanitation District in Genesee, Colorado. In this role, he oversees treatment and daily operations, maintenance, and long-term planning of the district’s water and wastewater systems, with a focus on regulatory compliance, infrastructure reliability, and sustainable infrastructure management.
Bob is actively engaged in strengthening collaboration across Colorado’s water and wastewater industry. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Colorado Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network (CoWARN), helping coordinate mutual aid and emergency response efforts among utilities statewide. He also chairs the Front Range ORCs (FRORCs), a collaborative group of Operators in Responsible Charge dedicated to sharing operational knowledge, strengthening professional networks, and supporting utilities throughout Colorado’s Front Range.
Bob is passionate about leadership in the water sector and about helping small and rural utilities navigate operational challenges while continuing to provide safe, reliable water and wastewater services to their communities.
