Nathanael Romig
Biography
As the Collection System Superintendent for the Upper Thompson Sanitation District, Nathanael Romig leads a dedicated crew of four collection operators in the comprehensive care of the Estes Valley’s essential sewer infrastructure. Together, they oversee 93 miles of sewer main and more than 2,500 manholes. The crew conducts a very proactive grease interceptor program through regular testing and inspections to ensure the system’s integrity and public health. Staff maintain the collection system through regular cleaning and CCTV operations, easement maintenance, perform repairs, correct manhole access issues, and conduct structural rehabilitation. The crew's direct communication with the public is a hallmark of their commitment and they take every opportunity to educate District customers and explain operations.
Nathanael Romig grew up in Estes Park and married his high-school sweetheart. Together, …they have many children. He obtained his Associate of Arts through Aims Community College and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Northern Colorado. Nathanael joined the Upper Thompson Sanitation District in the summer of 2015.
